I'm Michael, the person behind Aviva.

Before Aviva, I spent 25 years in the furniture business. I managed showrooms for European design brands and spent 12 years helping run Boliya USA, an importing company that reached $4 million in annual sales. My work took me from conversations with retail buyers to factory floors in China, where I worked directly on product development and production. It was an extensive education in what happens between having a good idea and getting someone to pay for the finished thing.

That background gave me an equal appreciation for thoughtful design and the less celebrated business of making everything work. I developed products, trained retail teams, and managed the details that kept orders moving. There is considerable satisfaction in seeing a design go into production. There is also considerable satisfaction in discovering that the paperwork is correct, although that is harder to explain at dinner.

Through Aviva, I bring that experience to websites, business tools, and practical uses for AI. I understand how much work sits behind something that looks effortless to a customer. My job is to help you make a good impression and make the work behind it easier to manage.

Running a business involves a surprising amount of moving information around and asking whether anyone followed up. Through Aviva, I help make that work easier. An unhealthy enthusiasm for sorting things out has finally found a respectable use.

The website gets most of the attention. Fair enough; nobody gathers round to admire an automatic follow-up. I build both, along with tools for quoting and keeping track of jobs. Connecting them to the software you already use means less copying things across and fewer tasks relying on someone's excellent memory.

AI can have a job, too, once we've established what it's actually good at. I help you put it to use and teach your team when to trust it. I also turn scattered numbers into useful reports and look for ways to simplify the work itself. Despite my obvious affection for technology, occasionally the answer is to stop doing something.
